A Professional Edge & Superior Job Fairs A Professional Edge is a permanent career placement agency that recruits various Sales, Management, I.T., Banking, Attorney and Accounting positions for 50+ FORTUNE 500 companies and small firms. Superior Job Fairs is operated in the same office, hosting 8 NJ professional job fairs a year and is known as NJ's most efficient professional Job Fair company. A Professional Edge and Superior Job Fairs are two separate companies joined together in one office that work in conjunction as a permanent placement firm & job fair company. Superior Job Fairs was started in 1995 and eventually created a sister company, A Professional Edge, because of the amount of exposure to job seekers at job fairs and recruiting events. -I advanced the company in many ways; as a Sales Representative, Recruiter, Event Coordinator of Job Fairs and Manager of all Internet and print advertising; along with being the office manager of 6 employees after 1 year. I also advised President of all marketing & advertising campaigns, yearly Job Fair schedules/facilities, and various company decisions. Superior Job Fairs Duties:
-Cold calling up to 150 companies a day selling job fairs and eventually up-selling companies to become annual clients -Creating all newspaper and Internet ads for job fairs and maintaining relationships with all marketing sectors. (Star-Ledger, Asbury Park Press, Home News & Tribune, Bergen Record, Monster.com, Careerbuilder.com, NJ.com, NJ Universities, Yahoo Hotjobs.com and others) -Create and maintain company website. Started Virtual Job Fair, now used by most job fairs companies. A Professional Edge Duties:
-Search for job seekers to fill positions using various Internet recruiting websites and creating flyers & job postings -Call candidates and schedule 5-15 interviews a week, sell applicants on jobs, and negotiate between companies and applicants when offer is received -Cold calling and meeting with companies for job orders: attempting to sell APE's services to other companies. I established and maintained 4 clients that APE is still currently working with. As of November 2007, my openings have generated over $100,000 for the company. Other: -Attended National Career Training classes on How to Stay Organized and Time Management. -Networking at Morris County Chamber of Commerce meetings, and other recruiting events -Attended Monster Webinars, Monster Recruiters Search Classes and over 20 networking events per year to gain new business.
