Rice University is looking for motivated individuals to participate in our Ticket Sales Academy for the 2008 summer. Each summer associate will receive extensive sales training from Rice Athletic Department employees as well as real world experience in collegiate athletics. After the initial sales training, the summer associates of the academy will then focus the majority of their attention towards Rice football season tickets and individual games through extensive phone work and individual appearances. Compensation will be $6.55 hr with 20% commission on all ticket revenue sold. There will also be potential to earn bonuses for reaching and exceeding goals throughout the summer. Applicants that excel may also have the opportunity to be hired as a full time employee of Rice University after the summer. Applicants should be interested in pursuing a career in sports and passionate about gaining valuable experience in ticket sales. Applicants should be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) this summer from June 2nd through August 8th.
