Athletics and Recreational Sports


Saint Mary's College of California, Athletics & Recreational Sports invites applications for a full time Director of Ticket Sales and Operations to create a comprehensive athletic ticketing operations and procedures plan for the College, including all paid admission competitions for the College's 14 intercollegiate sports programs and special events.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Marketing, the Director of Ticket Sales and Operations has primary responsibility for coordinating a variety of related finance, marketing, and promotional activities.  The incumbent directly supervises the personnel, resources, and employees assigned to the ticketing function.  This position requires the use of independent judgment and discretion when carrying out job responsibilities and functions, and thorough knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methods of the athletic ticket industry.  The Director supervises daily sales operations, and directs all operations and procedures of the Athletic Ticket Office.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred and one (1) to three (3) years of related experience in higher education or similar settings, experience/background in athletics highly desirable 
  • proficiency with word processing and presentation software, electronic mail software, Adobe PageMaker 6.5 and Adobe Photoshop, Netitor web site software, and TicketReturn software 
  • strong interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of coaches, administrators, and staff and excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple, competing tasks and priorities

  • team-oriented individual with willingness to take initiative and be	flexible and ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.

  • understanding and supportive of the values and ideals of the Lasallian, Catholic, and liberal arts traditions 
  • the position requires significant night and weekend work
