Sports Video Assistant

Oregon State University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the internship position of Sports Video Assistant.

This is a 9 month to one year paid internship that begins at the end of July 2008.

Duties will include shooting and coordinating football practices, assist in editing games and motivational highlight reels, assist in the production of weekly cut ups, player dvds, archiving, and overall assistance in daily preparation and support for the football staff and athletes as laid out by the Director of Football Video. This position works closely with the Director of Football Video during football season and spring football and will assist the Olympic Sports Video/ Production Coordinator in the winter/spring.

The ideal candidate:

  • Worked in a collegiate video football/ sports program for a minimum 2 years.

  • Familiar with shooting football practices, games and Olympic sports.

  • Familiar with DVC Pro or similar broadcast standard cameras, equipment and tape formats.

  • Have somewhat of a working knowledge of XOS' Sports Pro platform.

  • Familiar with non-linear editing of motivational highlight tapes.

  • Familiar with basic networking/ IT processes.

  • Looking to begin or continue a career in athletic video.

  • Be extremely organized, efficient, reliable, intuitive, and communicate well.
