The College of Charleston, a member of the Southern Conference, is seeking a Marketing Assistant for the 2008-2009 academic year. The full-time position will be responsible for promoting attendance at all home events, while being the primary contact for Women's Soccer, Women's Basketball and Softball, writing and executing sport specific marketing plans, overseeing the Cougar Kids Club, coordinating the Maroon Mayhem student fans group, soliciting sponsorships, supervising student assistants and other duties as assigned.

The Marketing Assistant works in conjunction with and is supervised by the Director of Marketing. A bachelor's degree is required and experience in a Division I athletic program is preferred. The successful candidate will be able to exhibit a high level of customer service, possess a self starting and self-motivating work ethic, have proficiency in basic computer programs and exhibit a team-oriented attitude. Applicant must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of the College of Charleston, the Southern Conference and the NCAA.
