Chris Wyrick recently completed his first year as associate athletics director of development/Gamecock Club executive director for South Carolina (USC). He has been charged with the responsibility of raising $200 million for South Carolina's athletics department. He is implementing a Capital Campaign, in conjunction with the greater University, to improve all athletics facilities.

Wyrick came to USC from Vanderbilt where his staff just completed raising $80 million for athletics facilities. Prior to his departure, Vanderbilt's endowment increased by almost $15 million. In 2003, he was recognized as the National Fund raiser of the Year for major Division I schools.

Wyrick is a 1992 graduate of North Carolina State with a degree in political science. He previously worked at his alma mater and the University of Miami (Ohio).

Wyrick was elected by the Southeast Conference Development Officers to the NAADD Executive Committee in June of 2004.

Wyrick is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina. He and his wife Merrily have two daughters, Caroline and Caitlin.
