Last year the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) announced the formation of the NAADD Diversity Initiative Program, which allowed five members of MOAA to travel to the NAADD/NACDA Conventions on a $1,000 scholarship.

For the second straight year, NAADD has agreed to provide five $1,000 scholarships to MOAA members to attend both Conventions. The goal of the NAADD Diversity Initiative Program is to identify top-flight minority and female administrators who desire to excel in intercollegiate athletics development and fund raising.

The Initiative seeks individuals who want to advance their athletics administration career, enhance professional ability to raise funds for their institution, and create valuable networking opportunities with numerous collegiate athletics administrators.

"MOAA is very grateful to be able to offer the NAADD Diversity Initiative Scholarship to its members for the second consecutive year," said MOAA President Clint Bryant, Director of Athletics at Augusta State University. "The program not only allows for MOAA members to participate in the MOAA Symposium, but also experience the professional development opportunities at the NAADD/NACDA Conventions."

All recipients of the scholarship must attend the Monday, June 9 MOAA Symposium and a minimum of three National NAADD sessions, including a recognition ceremony at a time and date to be determined.

Deadline for MOAA application form is April 15, 2008. Winners will be notified the week of April 28th.
