Dell Robinson Position: Associate Commissioner Institution: Mid-American Conference

Cleveland native Dell Robinson is in his ninth year with the Mid-American Conference as Associate Commissioner for Legislative and Compliance Services. Robinson oversees the league's compliance program and engages the member schools with the NCAA governance structure.

Prior to returning to his hometown with the MAC, Robinson served as assistant commissioner for compliance from 1996-99 at the Western Athletic Conference in Denver. Before joining the WAC, Robinson served as the director of compliance and enforcement for the Southwestern Athletic Conference from 1992-96. He assisted member schools with rules interpretations, rules education, campus compliance visits, compliance reviews, hardship petitions and waivers.

Robinson has a bachelor's degree in sports management from Ohio University in 1988, where he was a walk-on to the Bobcat football team. He was a member of the squad's special teams unit from 1984-88. Robinson earned his master's degree in sports administration from Iowa State University in 1992. While at Ohio, Robinson was in the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and still maintains an active role in the organization.

He was selected as one of Kaleidscope Magazines 40 under 40 for his professional as well civic responsibilities. He was also selected as one Clevelands Crain's Business Magazines 40 under 40. Robinson Co-Chaired of the Parish Advisory Board at St.Agnes-Our Lady of Fatima and a former member of the Diocese of Cleveland Pastoral Council. Robinson serves presently serves on the Greater Cleveland Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Minority Opportunity Athletic Association. He also serves as the chair of the Ohio University Alumni Association and is a member of the Ohio University Board of Trustees.

Robinson is married to the former Ericka Nawls of Denver. The couple resides in Cleveland.
