Maureen Riedel Position: Director, Trademark Licensing Institution: Penn State University

Maureen Riedel joined Penn State University in October 2004. As licensing director, Riedel is responsible for the management and overall strategic direction of Penn State's domestic and international licensing programs. Prior to joining Penn State, she served as the licensing administrator for Syracuse University's trademark licensing program.

Riedel is involved with many industry wide initiatives, currently serving her third year on the International Collegiate Licensing Association (ICLA) Board of Directors. In recognition of outstanding leadership and innovation during the 2005-06 academic year, Maureen was the recipient of ICLA's Gold Star Award. More recently, she was elected as university representative on the Fair Labor Association (FLA) Board of Directors.

Riedel is a graduate of the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, where she majored in marketing management. She resides in State College, Pennsylvania with her husband, Jeff, and their two children, Colin and Ciara.
