Adlai Hurt earned a bachelor's degree in communication and rhetorical studies from Syracuse University in 2004. In 2007, Adlai graduated from the University of Tennessee with a master's degree in sport management.
While at Syracuse, Adlai was a walk-on with the men's varsity crew team. Beginning as a novice rower, he was elected captain as a senior and finished the season in the varsity eight for the Eastern Sprints and the IRA Championship Regatta. In addition, Hurt was twice presented with the team's David D. Godfrey Award, representing leadership, dedication and friendship.
At Tennessee, Hurt volunteered in the men's athletics marketing department, primarily working men's basketball games. He was also involved with marketing efforts regarding football, baseball and men's tennis. In addition, Adlai worked as a manager for the women's varsity rowing team. During the summer of 2006, Adlai was an intern at Florida Atlantic University working in athletics development.
While at NACDA, Hurt will be working with NAADD, the Division I-AAA ADA, CABMA, NATYCAA and association memberships. He can be reached at adlai@nacda.com.
